About the The World Federation of Free Trade Zones
Under the landscape of the Economic Globalization, the developed and developing countries negotiate bilateral or multilateral free trade agreements, in order to obtain new global competitive advantages and to promote the Economic Globalization process. By July 2014, the WTO notified that there were 257 effective regional trade arrangement, of which 14 tax reduction agreements, 17 Customs Union agreements, 216 free trade agreements, and thousands of free trade zones.
The World Federation of Free Trade Zones is a Non-Governmental Organization registered with UN Economic and Social Council. Its found members includes Caribbean Free Trade Zones, and other 68 free trade zones,as well as research institutions, associations in free trade industries here.
The World Federation of Free Trade Zones provides services of information provision, policy studies, strategy consulting, business facilities, travel services, investment services, investment attractions, training and education, and forum and exhibitions to build a serving and resources sharing platform. This platform attracts various members, creates incentive mechanism for members to organize own community to produce huge coordination effect, and ultimately creates a free trade zones ecosystem, to build the global free trade zones operation network.
